Completed I Am Poems
When I was student teaching, I had to come up with a lot of simple activities for students. This one, the ‘I Am’ Poem was a fun one that a Professor helped me come up with. What’s great about the poem is that there are no wrong answers! This can be especially comforting to younger students or ones who are struggling.
Student's Completed Poem
The goal is to have students complete the sentence prompts how ever they see fit. This activity is also great for tutors to use, as it can be a fun and easy icebreaker activity. I also think it’s good for students who are a bit more introverted or more emotional, or for students who have more going on in their lives — all can benefit from a quick poem that can let them vent.
